Here are a few highlights of The Lake%u2019s busy festival schedule:After the New Year, the popular Eagle Days in early January brings thousands of visitors to see wild eagles in their natural habitat. February is warmed up with the annual Mardi-Gras Pub Crawl and cooled off by the Polar Plunge event. March brings a variety of St. Patrick%u2019s Day events.The spring season kicks off in April with the Dogwood Festival in Camdenton. The Magic Dragon Street Meet on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip is the largest open-class car show in Central Missouri. Spring Harbor Hop kicks off the boating season. In early summer, Hot Summer Nights%u2019 monthly summer cruise nights kick off. The Canine Cannonball features dog jumping. July brings AquaPalooza, a free music event on the water.The Lake is the place to take in holiday fireworks with several shows for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. There is nothing quite like viewing fireworks from the water to complete a memorable vacation at the Lake.The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is a one of a kind boating event featuring some of the fastest boats in the world, with a week long build up of events throughout the entire Lake area. The Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest brings in motorcycle aficionados for a lively weekend. In the fall, visitors can experience Harbor Hop on the water and several small community festivals, including Eldon%u2019s Turkey Festival and the Old Tyme Apple Festival in Versailles.During the holiday season, the Lake switches on with drive-through light parks and parades.
